CBD has enjoyed quite a popular run this year – from humble cannabinoid second to THC to FDA-approved medicine. CBD is popping up in vape shops and cafes and is readily available to purchase all over the Internet. But not all CBD products are the same. And a JAMA paper published last year reported that, of 84 CBD products from 31 companies tested, less than one-third were labeled accurately. To avoid these pitfalls, consumers must look out for the following in their CBD products – the type of extraction method used, where the product came from (region the cannabis/hemp was grown and produced), and where and how the product was tested (third-party lab results).
