Each year for Mother’s Day, I typically take my mom out to brunch, and then we spend the day together outside enjoying the spring weather. I still plan to do that this year, but first I wanted to try something new. So I took my mom to a dispensary to buy cannabis with her for the first time.

My mom has been to a dispensary once or twice before, but has never really had a great experience or found the answers she was looking for. Because of that, she usually just asks me to pick up something “like what I got last time.”

I know a lot of people struggle to understand the modern cannabis landscape, and a trip to the dispensary can be a bit daunting if you don’t know what you’re looking for or how to ask for it. I also know the frustration of getting a bad budtender or having the wrong products recommended.

So, I figured I would introduce my mom to one of my favorite dispensaries in Seattle, Fweedom. Their staff is helpful and awesome, plus they have a great selection of products. I knew my mom would find something that works well for her, and hopefully she’ll feel more comfortable shopping for cannabis products.
